What is permanent welded jewellery?
Permanent welded jewellery is custom-fitted jewellery that is designed to be worn every day. Instead of using a traditional clasp, the chain is carefully measured to fit you perfectly before being joined with a tiny, seamless weld. The result is a beautiful bracelet, anklet or ring that stays securely in place until you choose to remove it.
Does getting permanent jewellery hurt?
Not at all. The welding process never touches your skin. A small welding spark is used to join the ends of the chain together, but you'll only notice a quick flash of light. The appointment is fast, comfortable and completely needle-free.
What happens if my jewellery breaks?
Although our jewellery is made from high-quality materials and designed for everyday wear, accidents can occasionally happen. If your piece breaks at the welded link, simply get in touch and we'll be happy to inspect it. If the chain is still in good condition, we can usually reweld it for you.
Can I remove my permanent jewellery?
Yes. Despite the name, permanent jewellery isn't impossible to remove. If you ever need to take it off for work, medical procedures or personal preference, simply snip the small connecting jump ring with nail clippers or jewellery cutters. Keep your chain safe and we can reweld it for you whenever you're ready to wear it again.
Will airport security scanners detect my jewellery?
In most cases, no. Permanent jewellery is fine to wear through airport security and doesn't usually need to be removed. However, if you're having an MRI scan or another medical procedure, you'll normally be asked to remove all metal jewellery beforehand.
How long does permanent jewellery last?
With the right care, permanent jewellery can last for many years. The lifespan depends on factors such as your lifestyle, the material you choose and general wear. We only use quality materials, including Sterling Silver, Stainless Steel and 14k Gold Filled chains, to ensure your jewellery is made to be worn and enjoyed every day.
Do you sell gift vouchers?
Yes! Permanent jewellery makes a thoughtful gift for birthdays, anniversaries, bridal parties, Mother's Day, Christmas or simply as a special treat. Gift vouchers are available to purchase and can be redeemed against any permanent jewellery appointment.
Can I add charms to my jewellery?
Of course. We have a wide selection of beautiful charms so you can personalise your bracelet, anklet or ring. Whether you'd like initials, birthstones, symbols or meaningful designs, you can create a piece that's unique to you
How long does an appointment take?
Most appointments take around 45 minutes, depending on how many pieces you're having fitted and whether you'd like to add charms. If you're coming with friends or family, we'll make sure everyone has plenty of time to choose their perfect jewellery.
Can children have permanent jewellery?
Yes, we can fit permanent jewellery for younger clients, although anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. We recommend considering growth when choosing permanent jewellery for children, as it may need removing or resizing over time.
